README

Instructions:

  1. This is the beta version of the 3D Study Aid for 20 Muscles Project.
  2. This does not support Mobile phone use.
  3. Fullscreen is now enabled. If you notice performance issues, switch back to the default window size.
  4. To rotate: WINDOWS: Rotate with right mouse click; MAC: track pad, double click and hold.
  5. AI will now analyze your answer and mark if it is right or wrong.
  6. Any clicks should stay in the answer box. It does not clear, backspace works.

Feedback & Suggestions

Great tool, I see much value to students in helping learn a difficult subject. Minor feedback - maybe put instructions on screen to show how to rotate; maybe put in order of how students are taught; muscle - origin, insertion, action; seems like some words are capitalized and some are not; add an "enter" button on quiz page. Wonderful job, really nice functionality.

"Excellent work! I see these 3D models only getting better and better. The strength of the model is that you have diagrams, 3D muscles and bones, and you also have the option to see it on the mannequin. The quiz works quite well, but it needs to be less strict when it comes to accepting answers. I would like to be able to rotate the model myself and have the ability to zoom in and out. The graphics could be slightly improved, and I would also like to see a "test" option where an AI will randomize the 3D muscles, as well as the origin, action, and insertion. Brilliantly done, though, and I can guarantee success for BIO 104 students."

To proceed through the images is a little slow; the quiz after each image is very helpful to remember.

I really enjoy this project. I appreciate that there is focus on each individual muscle, multiple points of view using both the full body model and the isolated view. I also appreciate that the O.I.A is included for each muscle since this is what we are tested on and it helps to see it up close. If I could suggest a few tweaks: highlight insertion and origin points in different colors and, if possible, show the muscle performing its action. Overall I really enjoy the project and appreciate all the time you have put into it.

There's a spelling error on the quiz for the gluteus maximus. "Sacrum" is misspelled as "sacram".

I enjoyed trying out the project and how you can clearly rotate the figure itself. However, there are spelling mistakes on some of the origins or insertions which makes it difficult to get the correct answer when responding with the correct spelling. I do like that it gives you the right answer after 3 tries.

This project is great! Having a 3D model to use makes the learning more interactive and easier to grasp. The only thing I would change is the spot where the feedback text appears when you get an answer incorrect, as it covers the "enter text" box - making it difficult to click to continue the quiz. If there was a way to click into the text box through the overlay, that would be perfect. Also, after multiple incorrect answers the program sometimes gives unlimited chances instead of pausing at the third try. Overall, an amazing study tool with lots of potential.

Great learning tool — I wish I had it back when I was doing Bio103! It makes learning the muscles easier.

"I think this application could be very helpful to upcoming A&P II students! This also takes the work out of students having to take pictures on their own, which is usually my foundation for studying. Because most of the practical test is cat dissections, this won't fully replace that experience, but it is helpful for memorization and spelling. It helps with studying, though not as much with orienting oneself within the body physically."
